The Carolina Hurricanes signed forward Nathan Gerbe to a two-year, $3. Max Garcia Jersey .5 million contract on Tuesday. Gerbe, 26, set or tied career highs in goals (16), power-play goals (3), points (31) and shots (221) in 2013-14, his first season with the Hurricanes. Gerbe played his 200th career NHL game on Oct. 28 against Pittsburgh, and notched his 100th career point with a shorthanded goal against New Jersey on March 8. Selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round, 142nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft, Gerbe has scored 45 goals and earned 58 assists (103 points) in 269 career NHL regular-season games with Buffalo and Carolina. Gerbe has represented the United States in a number of international competitions, including the 2004 and 2005 U-18 World Junior Championships and the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships. According to NFL.com, Gordon violated the conditions of his probation terms by testing positive for alcohol. The 2013 league leader in receiving yards is in Stage Three of the NFLs substance abuse program, which requires periodic tests over a minimum span of two years. Gordon was previously suspended for the first 10 games of last season after pleading guilty for a DUI charge that occurred in North Carolina in July. The Browns later held the talented wideout out of their finale against Baltimore for breaking a team rule. The Browns released a statement obtained by NFL.com in response to the report. Clearly we are very disappointed to hhear the latest report regarding Josh, said the team. Terrell Davis Jersey. At this point, due to the confidential nature of the NFLs substance abuse policy, we have not been made aware by the league of a failed test. We are in the process of gathering more information and will provide further comment at the appropriate time. If Gordon is indeed banned for all of next season, his contract will toll and he will not be eligible for restricted free agency until after the 2016 campaign. Gordon also served a two-game suspension to begin the 2013 season for a substance-abuse infraction, then proceeded to put up sensational numbers upon his return. The 23-year-old topped the NFL with 1,646 yards on 87 catches and scored nine touchdowns in 14 games. In five games this past season, Gordon compiled 24 receptions for 303 yards without a touchdown. HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S. Air Force 1 Canada Online .C. -- Luke Donald believes hes got the right game on the right course -- and is ready to make up for so many near-misses at the RBC Heritage. Donald had an eagle and six birdies to shoot 66 on Saturday and take a two-stroke lead over John Huh after three rounds at Harbour Town Golf Links. The Englishman has done just about everything on Harbour Town the past five times hes played -- except win. He fell in a playoff to Brandt Snedeker here in 2011, part of a run of four top-3 finishes since at the tricky, Pete Dye design. Now, hell carry the lead into the final day and is ready to make it stand up on Sunday. "If I can go out as relaxed and confident as I was today tomorrow," he said. "If I can control the trajectory (of shots) as well as I did today, then hopefully Ill be sitting here as the winner." It has been a long time since Donald has been able to say that. Once the worlds top-ranked golfer, Donald has changed coaches and the transition back to the top has not come as quickly as planned. The last of his five PGA Tour wins came in 2012, his best showing this year was a tie for fourth at the Valspar Championship last month and he was quickly bounced at the Masters after shooting 79-70. Donald acknowledged he has grown anxious waiting to win again. "I was the former world No. 1 and was there for a long time and obviously slipped down," said Donald, currently 29th. "But I havent felt my game had gotten that much worse." Certainly not at Harbour Town. Donalds round got started with a 25-footer for eagle on the par-5 second hold. He added four more on the next six holes. Donald then tied leader Nicholas Thompson with a birdie on the 14th before stretching his lead with a final one by rolling in a 15-foot putt on the par-3 17th. Donald nearly closed with a flourish when his approach on the closing, lighthouse hole nearly landed in the cup on the fly before bouncing to the edge and settling for par. Donalds not the longest hitter on tour and said some layouts are dragons he cant slay. "But this one I feel like I can plot my way around with low wedges," he said. "If you miss greens, you need to be pretty good at the short game. Certainly a course that favours my style of play." Huh shot a 68 and was at 6 under. Major champions Charl Schwartzel (68) and Jim Furyk (71), Nicholas Thompson (68) and Ben Martin (71) were tied for third at 5 under. Matt Kuchar, ranked sixth in the world, shot 70 as part of a group of five golfers another shot back at 4 under. Donalds performance capped a long day at soggy Harbour Town, where 65 golfers had to finish the second round before the third could begin with K.J. Choi, Furyk and Ben Martin tied for the lead. But by midafternoon, the moisture had softened things and competitors were treated to slick greens easily accepting approach shots. At times, it looked more like a local club shootout than a PGA Tour stop. Thompson, whose sister Lexi won her first LPGA Tour major at the Kraft Nabisco Championship earlier this month, got things going with five birdies on the front nine to lead at 7 under. But bogeys at the 16th and 18th holes dropped him back into the group at 208. Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters champion, was among those with an early start and jumped into the chase with a third-round 68 to move to 5 under. He said the course held up well despite more than 2 1/2 inches of rain that fell here Friday. Schwartzel has not won on the PGA Tour since his surprising run to the green jacket, when he birdied the final four holes. "I think if I can continue the ball striking and giving myself chances, I can make a few (birdies) tomorrow and give it a shot," he said. Furyk, the 2010 winner at Harbour Town, made birdie on his second hole to take the lead at 6 under. He failed to build on that hot start, but held on to stay in the hunt. The craziest day might have belonged to Kuchar, the highest-ranked player competing at Harbour Town after the seasons first major. He followed his fifth-place showing at the Masters last week with a strong bogey-free 66 on Thursday to take the lead. Things went the other way quickly Friday, with Kuchar posting a pair of double bogeys before the rains came and suspended play. Kuchar struggled some more with a bogey on the eighth hole once he restarted Saturday. Then he made four birdies on his back nine to climb back in it. Kuchar has finished fifth or better in his past three events and has a chance to do it again at Harbour Town. "To be playing some good golf and be in contention is fun," he said. "Im excited to have my fourth shot at trying to take a title." Cheap Air Force 1 Canada . Last July, F1 teams held in-season testing sessions at Silverstone to assess new tires provided by Pirelli after several blowouts on the same circuit at the British Grand Prix in June prompted a furious response from drivers and even a boycott threat the following week. Cheap Air Force 1 Shoes Wholesale . The Boston Celtics hadnt played since the All-Star break. So the Suns 100-94 victory over Boston Wednesday night was an uphill affair, with Phoenix relying on balance rather than its trademark high energy. http://www.cheapairforce1canada.com/ . -- The Denver Broncos retired John Elways No.San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The last time the San Antonio Spurs played the Portland Trail Blazers, both teams were engaged in a triple overtime thriller with the Blazers coming out on top. The Spurs made sure no extra time was needed on Friday night. Kawhi Leonard returned to the lineup to lead the Spurs with 20 points in a 110-96 win over the Blazers at AT&T Center. Leonard returned after a 15-game absence due to a torn ligament in his right hand. He had not played since Dec. 15. Danny Green deposited 19 points and Patty Mills added 18 points off the bench for San Antonio, which has won four of its last five. LaMarcus Aldridge tallied 24 points with eight rebounds and Damian Lillard, who scored 43 points in the 129-119 triple overtime win on Dec. 19, went for 23 points and five assists in this one. Mills scored 10 points off the bench in the first quarter to help the Spurs grab a 35-28 lead after 12 minutes. San Antonio led by as many as 12 in the second quarter before taking a 60-52 lead at the break. Wholesale Nike Air Force 1 Shoes. . Then it took over in the third and cruised to the victory in the fourth. Manu Ginobili scored on back-to-back possessions to stretch the Spurs margin to 15, then Mills knocked down successive 3-pointers later in the quarter to make it a 91-73 game. Portland ended the third on a 6-0 run to close the gap to 12 entering the fourth, but Mills opened the final quarter with a runner that kicked off a 9-2 run. San Antonio led by as many as 23 in the fourth. Game Notes Portland has lost two straight overall and had its two-game winning streak in the series halted ... Tony Parker supplied 17 points and seven assists in the win, while Tim Duncan registered a 11-point, 12-rebound double-double ... San Antonio held a 49-32 edge on the glass ... BUCHAREST, Romania -- Third-seeded Gael Monfils opened his Nastase Tiriac Trophy account with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Lithuanian qualifier Ricardas Berankis on Thursday. Nike Air Force 1 Wholesale Uk . Following a first-round bye, Monfils broke Berankis four times in their first meeting to reach the quarterfinals after rain delayed the start of play for more than three hours. With Paul-Henri Mathieu or Marius Copil next, Monfils is looking to regain his early season form, when he won the title in Montpellier and reached the final in Doha. Second-seeded Mikhail Youzhny fell in his opening match in Bucharest for a second straight year, and lost to Dutchman Robin Haase for the first time in six matches, 6-3, 6-3. Goodell says he had fun watching the game Sunday and thinks fans did, too.MESA, Ariz. -- Jeff Samardzija isnt sure where hell be by the end of the season. Hes a good candidate to be traded by the Chicago Cubs given his one-year contract and hes determined to pitch well whether he stays put or gets dealt. "I know if I do my part and do what I expect of myself and what the team expects of me, then everything else is clear about what the future holds," Samardzija said. "All I can do is increase my value as much as possible, and I think in the end, its going to help the organization no matter what. Either it helps the organization by keeping me here and proving that Im that guy, or I increase my value and help them get prospects in return." For now a cloud hovers over him. As pitchers and catchers worked out for the first time on Friday, Samardzija stared at an uncertain future. Failed attempts at a long-term contract led to trade talks and, ultimately, a one-year agreement worth $5,345,000 to avoid arbitration on Saturday -- two days before his scheduled hearing. Samardzija wouldnt reveal how wide the gap is for a longer contract. "If there wasnt a gap we would have already signed," he said. "But both sides are justified. Its not like anyones asking for some outlanddish concept. Nike Air Force 1 Uk Sale. I understand where theyre coming from. They understand where Im coming from. Thats really all there is to say." Are they still discussing a multi-year deal? "Were not really going to talk about that," he said. "Were about this season. Were looking to get ready to compete and win some ballgames. We dont want any distractions whether its with that or the trade talks or this or that. To me, its a no-comment. Im out there getting ready to do my thing and, like I said before, put no doubt in anybodys minds about who I am or what I can be for this team or this organization." The 29-year-old Samardzija is coming off an unremarkable season that saw him go 8-13 with a 4.34 ERA, but he was one of only 10 pitchers with at least 200 innings and 200 strikeouts. Hes also not eligible for free agency until 2015, an added plus for potential suitors. And with the Cubs in a rebuilding mode, his days in Chicago could be winding down. "You address it because its going to be talked about," new manager Rick Renteria said. "What were going to try to do is make him understand that the only thing that is significantly important to him is what he does between the lines." 1. Air Max 270 Clearance . DENNIS SCHRODER (Hawks): This young man is coming into his own this year off the bench in Atlanta. Explosive and quick, he can score and get into the lane efficiently. Averaging over nine PPG and three assists per game while shooting 52 per cent. Playing more under control and gives their second unit some offensive pop. More of a slasher at this stage yet he doesnt take many poor shots which is why his shooting percentage is sound. As he improves his shooting range, hell be an even tougher cover. Improving player. 2. TRISTAN THOMPSON (Cavs): Nice to see him have a terrific game on Friday night in his return to his hometown Toronto. His season numbers (9 and 6 / 51 per cent) might not wow you but I think this is a really good group for him to play with and as he continues to improve and build the trust of his new coaches and Lebron James, I see his role growing. Wonderful rebounding skills and finishes with force around the rim. Still raw in terms of the post moves but that will come. High energy guy who is a good teammate. I see good things ahead. 3. TYLER ZELLER (Celtics): Has replaced Kelly Olynk in the lineup and has played solid ball of late (9 and 7 / 60 percent in the past 10 games). Runs the floor well and is willing to mix it up. Athletic and takes the ball to the basket hard. Can face up and make mid-range shot and will go to the offensive boards for you. Some nice young post guys that coach Brad Stevens has to work with in Zeller and Olynk. Neither is a finished product but both possess good potential. 4. ENES KANTER (Jazz): Averaging close to 14 PPG and 7 RPG this year, shooting 53 per cent and in the two games Ive seen him in person recently Ive been impressed with the strides hes making. His footwork has improved significantly and hes got a knack for getting his game off in tight quarters. Quicker than he looks - made a few moves that I didnt think he could make in the lane and with decisiveness. Decent face up game. Always looked a bit clumsy and awkward to me and now has some fluidity and purpose to what he does. Whatever he did during the off season - keep doing it. 5. STEVE BLAKE (Blazers): For a guy that averages less than five points a game, you might ask how can this guy impact a good team. Hes averaging close to five assists coming off the bench and hes a tenacious defender and gritty competitor. Last year, Mo Williams did a decent job off the bench for them but I think Blake is a better fit with his selfless/hard-nosed style of play. The Blazers bench has played better this year and his leadership and veteran savvy are a huge key. Air Max 270 Sale .Two San Francisco radio stations say they wont play the song during the duration of the World Series. Snedekers best result so far this year is a tie for eighth place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He sits 113th in FedEx Cup standings and has dropped to 31st in world rankings — not the results expected from a player ranked fourth in the world only two years ago.PHOENIX - New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., grabbed The Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year award for 2014.Best known for the play of the year, his one-handed snag of a touchdown pass while falling backward against Dallas, the first-round pick (12th overall) from LSU easily won against a loaded rookie class. BARCELONA, Spain -- Carlos Vela scored one goal and set up another Saturday as Real Sociedad picked up where it left off last season by outclassing Getafe 2-0 with its exquisite flowing attack to inaugurate the Spanish league at Anoeta Stadium. Cheap Authentic Shoes Online . The Mexico forward netted the first goal of the 2013-14 season from a pass by Gonzalo "Chori" Castro in the 42nd, and then assisted Haris Seferovic for the new signing to get a deserved goal in the 70th. Later, Ernesto Valverde began his second stint as the coach of Athletic Bilbao with a 2-1 win at Valladolid, while Valencia marked coach Miroslav Djukics first game in charge with a 1-0 victory over visiting Malaga. Sociedad showed no signs of the transition from former manager Philippe Montanier to promoted assistant Jagoba Arrasate as it maintained its passing style that last season earned it a playoff for the Champions League group phase beginning Tuesday at Lyon. "It was important to start off on the right foot," said Arrasate. "This reaffirms that this team knows how to compete. Without a doubt it gives us confidence. We know the game on Tuesday will be difficult but we are excited to play what will be a historic game for Real Sociedad." Seferovic was particularly active early on in San Sebastian, going close several times and passing for Castro to force goalkeeper Miguel Moya to push his rising shot onto the bar. Castro helped Sociedad convert its dominant possession into the opener when he used one touch to play Vela clear of the defence. Vela did the rest by coolly chipping the ball over the onrushing Moya to record the first goal of the season. Moments after Diego Castro had Getafes best scoring opportunity, Vela picked out Seferovics run and slipped the ball through for the Swiss to dink it over Moya from a tight angle and secure the three points. Valverde first coached Bilbao from 2003-05 and returned on a two-year contract after the Basque club didnt offer Marcelo Bielsa an extension following a disappointing second campaign under the Argentine last season. And while Bilbao still showed some frailties in defence, it was sound enough to hold off Valladolids late surge to give Valverde a bright second start. Markel Susaeta finished off a brilliant combination of one-touch passes from a corner kick to put Bilbao ahead in the 28th. Bilbao worked the ball away from Valladolids area before new arrival Benat Etxebarria used a no-look pass to serve Susaeta inside the box for the forward to fire home. Patrick Ebert drilled in Valladolids equalizer three minutes later when Oscar Gonzalez spotted him arriving late to the area unmarked by the visiting defence. But Iker Muniain was quick to pounce and knock in a ball sent off the post by Valladolid defender Marc Valiente to restore Bilbaos lead for good five minutes after halftime. Ander Herrera nearly extended the advantage when he hit the goal frame in the 75th. Valverde said his side lacked pace in the first half but he was pleased with its performance, above all in being efficient in attack. "We came from a preseason where we created a lot of scoring chances but lacked the precision to finish them off," he said. "Today it was the opposite. We didnt have too many but scored twice. The first was a beautiful goal, by the way. I was convinced that we had players of sufficient quality up front not only to create chances but to convert them as well, and today we did that." After a dull 63 minutes at Mestalla Stadium, Ricardo Costa took what proved to be the winner for Valencia when Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero fumbled his attempt to catch a looping high ball, with the ball falling for the defender to stab in. While Djukic enjoyed his first win, Malagas Bernd Schuster saw his new team struggle to produce scoring opportunities. The former Barcelona and West Germany midfielder took over Malaga from Manuel Pellegrini this off-season and has received a squad depleted of its main players following the exit of Francisco "Isco" Alarcon and Jeremy Toulalan, among others. Barcelona opens its title defence on Sunday at home against Levante, while Real Madrid hosts Real Betis, Atletico Madrid visits Sevilla, and Granada is at Osasuna. On Monday, both the promoted Villarreal and Almeria face one another, while Elche-- the third newcomer to the topflight-- visits Rayo Vallecano, and Celta Vigo hosts Espanyol. Jesus Navas bookended yet another huge home win for City by scoring after 14 seconds and again in second-half stoppage time, with Sergio Aguero also netting in each half to add to an own goal by Sandro and a brilliant strike by Alvaro Negredo.Toronto Argonauts head coach Scott Milanovich had some good news to report on Tuesday, announcing that receiver and kick returner Chad Owens is all right after he left last weeks game with an apparent knee injury. West Ham manager Sam Allardyce will not be joining the growing list of coaches to lose their jobs in the Premier League -- for the time being, at least. Cheap Vapormax Sale . The clubs co-chairmen published an open letter on West Hams website on Monday, expressing their confidence that Allardyce is the man to save the team from relegation from the Premier League. West Ham is currently next-to-last in the league after more than half the campaign, and the pressure grew on Allardyce following an embarrassing 5-0 loss to second-tier club Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday. However, David Sullivan and David Gold said in their letter that Allardyce "has not lost his ambition or desire and is committed to making West Ham United a great Premier League club." "We have experienced difficult times before and we know what will get us results -- hard work, determination and perseverance," the letter read. "To that end, we are all working round the clock to do everything in our powers to help arrest our slump in form." Of the current bottom five teams in the Premier League, only West Ham hasnt changed managers so far this season. A total of six managers in the top division have been fired or have resigned since September. Allardyces squad is beset by injury, with leading striker Andy Carroll yet to play this season. West Hams squad and style of play is built around Carroll, who joined from Liverpool for 15.5 million pounds (then $24.25 million) in June after a successful loan spell last season. Allardyce is also currently without a fit centre back and was forced to field a team full of reserves and youth-team players at Forest. He has only 14 fit and available senior players for Wednesdays League Cup semifinal match against Manchester City. "Like all West Ham supporters, we feel frustrated and hurt by our recent results," Sullivan and Gold said in the letter. "We are under no illusions as to the seriousness of the predicament in the Premier League," they continued. "But on the board, we have a combined talent of running football clubs and we will draw on all of our nous to get West Ham United out of this situation." West Ham is scheduled to move into the Olympic Stadium from 2016 after agreeing on a 99-year lease to rent the revamped 486 million pound ($781 million) venue. The 80,000-seat stadium, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and the track and field competition at the 2012 London Games, will be downsized to 54,000 seats and reconfigured with a new roof and retractable seats. West Ham will be desperate to usher in the new era with Premier League football. Cheap Vapormax Australia .35 million. City, fielding a depleted team having already qualified, was twice pegged back by the plucky Czech champions but substitute Negredo tapped home in the 78th minute and Dzekos header made sure of victory in the 89th. The result kept City three points behind Bayern Munich ahead of their meeting in Germany in two weeks.BOSTON -- Playing a home game with an arena nearly half-filled with chanting fans of the visiting team didnt seem to faze Boston College for most of the game. Trevor Cooney scored 21 points, Jerami Grant added 16 and No. 2 Syracuse fought off the pesky Eagles for a 69-59 victory Monday night. Boston College, which struggled through a rough non-conference schedule, led the Orange with just over 10 minutes to play. "I think they have great hope in that locker room," BC coach Steve Donahue said of his team. "Is there confidence? Its getting there. Theres not despair, not discouragement. Theres a lot of hope and theyre proud to play for each other." C.J. Fair and Tyler Ennis both had 12 points for the Orange (17-0, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). Grant added eight rebounds for Syracuse, one of four unbeaten teams in Division I. Syracuses size just proved to be too much for BC, which was missing starting centre Dennis Clifford, who rolled his ankle in warmups. He has played just two games this season battling soreness in both knees. Lonnie Jackson scored 18 points -- all on 3-pointers -- for the Eagles (5-12, 1-3), Ryan Anderson had 14 and Olivier Hanlan finished with 13 points and six assists. Mainly behind Jackson, who was 6 of 9, BC went 9 for 21 from 3-point range, but that magic ran out when the Orange tightened up their famed 2-3 zone down the stretch. "We knew he could shoot from the last game, we just couldnt find him," Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said. Jackson nailed a 3-pointer late Saturday to give BC a win at Virginia Tech. Midway into the first half, the Syracuse fans broke into a chant of Lets Go Orange, and Cooney had three breakaway dunks off turnovers -- two coming off his steals -- as they took a 32-23 lead with 2 1-2 minutes left in the half. It looked like they were ready to break the game open. Wholesale Vapormax Australia. But the Eagles rallied to start the second half. "Even after we kind of collapsed in the first half, we bounced back and played great basketball," Donahue said. The Orange, who also started 2011-12 by winning their first 17 games, outrebounded Boston College 28-24, collecting half on the offensive glass, which helped them pull away for the win. Trailing 51-46 with just over 10 minutes to play, the Orange started take advantage of their size inside during a 16-1 run over the ensuing 3 1-2 minutes. Grant had a dunk and conventional three-point play. Cooney scored on a putback on the third offensive rebound and nailed a 3 from the right wing, capping the run. Following Hanlans two free throws, Baye Moussa Keita had a one-handed putback slam, making it 60-51 with 6:01 left. The Eagles were never closer than six points the rest of the way. Jacksons sixth 3-pointer of the game, coming off Joe Rahons long arcing pass over a double-team from corner to corner, had given BC a 50-44 lead with 11:56 left. But, after that shot, the Eagles went 11:12 without a field goal, turning the ball over on a handful of trips, before Eddie Odio had a dunk in the closing minute. The Eagles, who trailed 32-30 at halftime, opened the second half by outscoring the Orange 15-3 to take a 45-37 lead on Andersons dunk with just under 16 minutes to play. BC ran plays through the lower part of Syracuses zone that led to consecutive 3-pointers from the right corner by Jackson and Rahon before Anderson collected a feed inside for his dunk. The Eagles scored the final seven points of the first half, with Jacksons third 3-pointer triggering the run. A nightmare third inning led to a nightmare afternoon for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Cheapest Air Jordan 5 . Starting pitcher Jason Jarvis got knocked around for nine runs in the third inning on Wednesday, as the Goldeyes (4-3) were thumped 18-5 by the Laredo Lemurs (4-3) before 1,909 fans at Uni-Trade Stadium. Winnipeg dropped the three-game series 2-1 with the loss. In their first day game of the season, the Goldeyes found themselves with an insurmountable deficit after the first eight Lemurs had hits in the bottom of the third, including home runs from Travis Denker and Angel Flores. The barrage chased Jarvis from the game after 2 2/3 innings. The Goldeyes tried to claw back with two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth on a two-RBI single from second baseman Jake Blackwood. However, Laredo scored singles in the fifth and sixth innings, two more in the seventh and five runs in the eighth. Winnipegs only other run came in the seventh inning when third baseman Ryan Pineda led off with a triple and then scored on a ground out by catcher Jordan Guida. The Goldeyes committed six errors in the game, which tied a team record from 2002 and led to four Laredo runs. Winnipegs pitching staff issued a season-high seven walks. Jarvis record falls to 1-1 with the loss, while Mike Piazza picked up the win for Laredo. Pineda had three hits and two runs to lead Winnipeg at the plate. The Goldeyes have an off day tomorrow before starting a three-game series at Haymarket Park against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Friday. It is natural that as brands sstrategies evolve they reassess their sponsorship properties. Jordan 5 For Sale NZ. .Five of FIFAs top 14 commercial partners have left in the past six months. Top-tier sponsors Sony and Emirates declined to renew for a two-tournament deal also covering the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It is widely expected that Samsung and Qatar Airways will step in as replacements. Russian energy company Gazprom has also signed a top-tier deal.Weil cites advanced negotiations with potential partners for the 2018 World Cup, where FIFA intends having more sponsors than in 2014.FIFA plans for 20 third-tier sponsors on regional deals worldwide instead of eight national sponsors in the host country.Of the eight second-tier sponsors, Budweiser and McDonalds already renewed for 2018.Sponsor deals cover a four-year cycle of tournaments, and would typically include the Womens World Cup kicking off in June in Canada.Still, FIFA has not committed to a timetable to confirm new contracts. We expect interest to grow even more as the Confederations Cup 2017 and 2018 World Cup draw closer, Weil said.
